A Gambian man, George Fula has opened opened up his own ranch business in North Dakota after few years of having passion for horses and the rodeos. He said it has always been his dream to open up a ranch business ever since he attended his first horse racing game in North Dakota.
George Fula has been a lover of horses and rodeos since he came into America. He said that the best fun place for him to be at is at the rodeo. Ever since he started visiting the rodeo his love for horses and horse racing got bigger everyday so he decided that for his love for horses and the games he will open up a ranch and raise horses.
He said that when he came up with the idea a lot of people laughed at him telling him its not easy to run a ranch and raise horses in America. Some said he has no experience of how to take care of horses and he has no capital to kickstart the business, all these negative words tried pulling down his spirit to start the business but another friend encouraged him to do what he wants to do.
According to Mr George Fula, his biggest motivation to start up the business came from his friend who he met at horse racing game. He said that he almost gave up on opening up the ranch business until his friend backed him up and encouraged him never to give up on what he wants to build.
He further said that his friend suggested that he starts a fundraising campaign to start up his ranch business but at first he felt that it would make him look like he is begging people to help him start something he can’t start but his friend still encouraged him to do it and see how it turns out.
George Fula said that when started the fundraising campaign, the first three weeks there was no response to his fundraising but he kept on doing it until the sixth week then some people started contributing to his fundraising, he said those people loved his vision and also helped share the fundraising link to some of their friends to help him out. He also sent the link to his friends and family living in Gambia and they also supported him with they have, he said some of his friends shared the fundraising link to some of their friends also living in the neighbouring countries like Nigeria, Cameroon, Senegal, Ghana, Rwanda and Benin to help him raise funds for his ranch business and they really supported him.
He said that he never expected the big turn up from his African friends and family who supported him massively in the fundraising, the fundraising was really a big turn up for George Fula as he was able to get the money to buy a land in North Dakota and start buying the equipments he needed for the ranch business. He further said that he was also amazed by the number of Americans who also supported him a huge amount of money to start up the business and some of them promised him that they will support him more along the way and also buy horses from him when he starts the business.
According to one of the horse racers who met with George Fula at one the horse racing events, he said that George is wonderful man who loves the horse racing game and from his interaction with George he realised how how passionate he was about opening his own ranch business and raising horses in America. He also asked George if he has ever raised a horse before and George said no but he believes that he can do it when he starts.
Another horse racer also said that he met George Fula at one of the horse racing game in Texas and George told him about his dream of opening his own ranch business and raising horses in America. He said that George is amazing man with big dreams and he believes that he could run the ranch business because he saw passion in George for the business.
During an interview with George Fula at the opening of his ranch business, he said that some of the horse racers from Texas and North Dakota also supported him during the fundraising and gave out huge amount for him to start up the business. He also promised that he will never let his supporters down as he is willing and ready to give his best for the ranch business and raise healthy horses. He further said that a lot of people living in North Dakota and South Dakota supported him massively during the fundraising and encouraged him to start the ranch as soon as possible. He also said that most of the support came from strangers, people he has never met before who loved his vision and passion for horses and horse racing game.
