A young Nigerian woman, Blessing Blendon has spoken up about her life changing experience at National Youth Service Corps programme, saying that it has been a big life changing opportunity for her ever since she stepped into the camp. She said that ever since she stepped into the orientation camp it has been a life changing opportunity for her.

Miss Blessing Blendon who is currently serving her country in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) expressed her joy saying that she has been able to show out her cooking skills and her angelic voice at the orientation camp. While speaking with the press who visited the camp, miss Blessing said that she was given the opportunity to show her cooking skills and she was glad to cook some delicious meals for her fellow corpers. She also said that this gave her a big recognition in the orientation camp kitchen as she was taken into the kitchen to be in charge of the cooking for other NYSC members. She also went ahead to tell the news agency that she is proud to be in the orientation camp serving her country with happiness in her heart.
Some of the corpers in the orientation camp expressed their happiness about miss Blessing on how she has been an amazing member of the NYSC family and contributing massively in the activities in the camp. They said she has been an amazing chef, making delicious meals for them morning, afternoon and night. One of the chefs in the kitchen, Mrs Linda Dike said that she is so happy to have miss Blessing in the kitchen with them because she is always full of energy and ready to cook . She also said that Blessing has been so helpful in various activities in the kitchen, cleaning the kitchen after cooking and making sure that all her fellow corpers in the orientation camp gets their daily meals.
Miss Blessing also expressed happiness on how she was allowed to lead the choir group in her platoon which she said was an honour despite serving in the kitchen too. She said she was picked up by her platoon officer to lead the platoon’s choir group after hearing her angelic voice and energy in singing. She also said that everyone in the choir group were happy to have her as their leader because of her leadership spirit. One of the platoon choir members, Daniel Ibrahim said that when miss Blessing was picked up by their platoon officer to lead them, they were so excited because they know that she is a good leader from what they have observed so far in the orientation camp.

Some of the soldiers in the orientation camp also spoke good about miss Blessing saying that she has been of good behaviour ever since she stepped into the orientation camp and has been so dedicating to the activities of the NYSC programme. The soldiers also said that miss Blessing participated in the NYSC marching and she performed so good that they wanted to pick her to be the leader in the front but she was already caught up with kitchen and choir activities.
Some of the corpers at the orientation camp also praised miss Blessing Blendon for her immense contribution to the activities in the camp. They said that she has been so dedicating by serving as a chef in the kitchen and cooking delicious meals for them, they further said that they never expected any corper would serve as a chef in the kitchen or devote themselves to serve fellow corpers in the orientation camp. A corper from Bauchi state, Elijah Philip said that he was amazed by miss Blessing’s meals as they were so delicious that it could make you ask for more, he also said that he never knew that she was the one made the meals they were eating until the chief chef in the kitchen announced to everyone that miss Blessing was the one who made the meals they have been eating.
The zonal coordinator of the orientation camp gave miss Blessing Blendon an award of recognition as the most dedicating corper in the orientation camp and also encouraged her never to stop doing what she does because she never knows where it would take her. He also encouraged other corpers to always be dedicating everywhere they go and help contribute in nation development.
During the choir group competition between each platoon, miss Blessing’s choir group won the competition and she was awarded as the best leader in the orientation camp. After the choir competition, her platoon officer said that he is so happy to have miss Blessing in his platoon because she has been so dedicating and hardworking in the camp.
Miss Blessing Blendon expressed so much joy after being awarded as the best leader in the orientation camp, saying that she is so excited to participate in the NYSC programme and also happy to be given such opportunities to express herself and show her talent to the public.
